After gaining attention for her Steampunk Bollywood inspired cosplay Makeup Siren (AKA Ariel Dixon) is already hard at work on her newest Steampunk ensemble with the help of SteampunkGoggles.com!

Her first stunning Indian-Inspired cosplay was photographed at Florida Supercon and quickly went viral, putting the spotlight on the professional makeup artist and cosplay enthusiast. Though her latest costume creation will still have an Indian style she explains that the two costumes will be very different. “I am very excited. This costume is going to be a lot different from my first costume. With this new look I plan to use a bolder colored sari with a touch of leather. Aviation is my inspiration. I wanted my new Bollywood Steampunk costume to look like I just came off an airship from India.”

The exclusive photographs for SteampunkGoggles of the work-in-progress show a completed set of jewelry designed and handmade by the multi-talented woman herself. “I mostly used bronze colored charms and gears. I went with a flower shaped charm plate as a background for the gears to lay on. This helps the gears stand out. I connected the charms with gold link and chains, added metal tassels at the end of my earring, and applied leather traps to hold my earrings and necklace up.” And of course the jewelry set wouldn’t be complete without Makeup Siren’s signature Bollywood nose ring. “For the nose ring, I used a clip on earring and applied a frame from an old earring to hold the gears in place. My jewelry as you can see is simpler then my first pieces, but will stand strong with the outfit.”

The other exciting feature is a pair of Riveted Silver Filigree Steampunk Goggles provided by SteampunkGoggles.com. When we spoke to Makeup Siren about her last look she had mentioned that the goggles had immediately caught her eye. In the planning stages of her newest costume she knew she had to have them. “I was going for more of an aviation look with this Bollywood Steampunk Costume, and for this new look I planned to wear goggles. The Riveted Silver Filigree Steampunk Goggles were exactly what I was looking for. They had a flower-like design on the side that goes well with my jewelry. The color of the goggles themselves is similar to the color that am using for my next look, and it has a leather strap which I plan on incorporating into my new costume as well. These goggles were meant for me.”

The shots, taken by photographer Daniel Molina of 5th Ace Photography, have already created buzz around the new costume. Molina hopes the Steampunk partnership continues, “From the first time I saw Ariel’s work I wanted to work with her. Her makeup skills and imagination captured my attention and inspired me to create images that I am extremely proud of today. I hope I can be her photographer for all of her ideas.”

Lucky for Molina this Steampunk Siren doesn’t show signs of stopping. “I have so many more ideas and looks I want to try. I really don’t see an end to my Steampunk Bollywood journey any time soon.”
